Chaired by the Scientific Assistant… A Special Meeting of Coordinators to Discuss Student Progression Mechanisms via the SIS System

Under the guidance of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Khudair Saeed, the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Wissam Hamad Hussein, chaired a special meeting of coordinators dedicated to discussing the mechanisms for student progression from one academic level to another using the SIS system, as adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research across all universities.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the ministerial instructions and regulations related to the SIS system and discussed precise implementation mechanisms to ensure workflow efficiency and data accuracy, emphasizing the standardization of procedures across all academic departments in line with ministry requirements and ensuring fairness for students.

The coordinators also addressed potential technical and administrative challenges that might arise during the progression process and discussed ways to resolve them. Roles and responsibilities of coordinators and specialized committees were clarified to ensure the process is completed within the set timelines and with the highest level of accuracy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Scientific Assistant stressed the importance of full compliance with ministerial instructions and continuous coordination between departments and relevant units, emphasizing the need to work with a team spirit to ensure the successful implementation of the SIS system and achieve the intended objectives in improving the college’s academic and administrative operations.
