The College of Agriculture held its eighth council meeting for the current 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Khudair Saeed, with the attendance of all council members, to discuss several items on the agenda.
During the meeting, key topics were addressed, foremost among them the final examinations for first-year and graduate students. The council emphasized the importance of preparing a suitable environment to ensure the smooth conduct of exams and strict adherence to approved instructions and regulations, ensuring fairness and transparency for students.
The council also reviewed several graduate student discussion committees, considered the submitted proposals in this regard, and discussed the research topics of doctoral students and the formation of their scientific committees according to approved academic guidelines, contributing to the advancement of the college’s scientific and research standards.
In another agenda item, the council highlighted the importance of orienting new students, introducing them to the college’s vision, mission, and objectives, and actively involving them in scientific and cultural activities to strengthen their academic belonging and prepare them for a supportive and motivating university environment that fosters creativity and excellence.
At the conclusion of the session, the Dean emphasized the Deanship’s commitment to following up on council decisions and working with a team spirit to develop the educational and research process, achieving the strategic goals of the College of Agriculture.
