The College of Agriculture Launches the “Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Green Skills” Project to Support Graduates’ Initiatives

Under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Khudhur Saeed, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture launched a pioneering project entitled:

“Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Green Skills.”

The project aims to support innovative ideas and apply modern technologies in the agricultural sector. It represents an important step toward empowering youth and equipping them with the skills necessary to enter the agricultural labor market. The initiative also reflects Tikrit University’s commitment to fostering innovation, promoting sustainable development, and contributing effectively to strengthening the national economy through the advancement of the agricultural sector.

This project comes within the university’s broader efforts to enhance the role of young people by enabling them to establish successful agricultural ventures that increase production, create sustainable job opportunities, and achieve sustainable development through the scientific and innovative use of available resources.

In his speech, the University President emphasized the importance of supporting young talents and encouraging innovation in the agricultural sector, noting its pivotal role in supporting the national economy and achieving food security.

For his part, the Dean stressed the need to intensify efforts in supporting promising agricultural projects for graduates and in providing the labor market with specialized agricultural engineers.
